We’re on our way to serve at camp! We are so excited for it! We spent 2 weeks last year helping life long friends serve the staff and campers at Fisher Bay Bible Camp and what a joy that was. We are excited to spend a week with them this summer as well.
There is a lot of prep and a lot of packing that goes into these types of events, but they are something that the whole family love to do, its worth it! Fisher Bay Bible Camp is a great ministry that serves the Fisher Bay Area in Manitoba. Jon and Cora McComish do an amazing job serving the 3 surrounding reserves and ministering to to the community that they are in. They are passionate about the people and the ministry that God has placed in their lives. Gracious and compassionate, they serve generously with whatever help they are given. We love to serve them and along side them when we get the chance. I’m am also so thankful to my many taste testers over this last week that have helped me finalize my camp specific menu! I think they all enjoyed tasting and ranking all the many options I came up with. There were many thumbs up and only a few funny faces in the process, so finalizing the options we were going to bring wasn’t easy, but it was a lot of fun. One benefit of either being a cousin or friend with my kids is that if they’re over when I’m experimenting with drinks, they get to be taste testers!
We are looking forward the experiences and what God wants to teach us this year through this process!
Hopefully I will do a better job at taking pictures of all the activities and have something to post when I get back, but unfortunately I usually forget. Maybe Adalia wants to be our official photographer ….. hmmmm …… well have to see! When we’re home and rested, Ill share more about our adventures and what we did to serve.
